Why work with Gateway Therapies?
Gateway Therapies is a multidisciplinary team of allied health professionals providing services in and around Brisbane since 2010. Over the years, the company has grown quickly, and has become well known for providing therapy services of the highest quality to all ages, particularly children on the autism spectrum. We have actively supported the Brisbane community through initiatives such as sponsoring the Physi Kid of the week awards, engaging in research, and presenting at industry conferences around Australia.
We are currently seeking appropriately qualified health and medical professionals from all health disciplines to form a strategic alliance. The Gateway Therapies Referral Network is an initiative of founder and Director, Dr Nicole Grant. The aim of the Network is to connect service providers with their target clients, and ensure our clients are connected with those people best able to achieve their health and well-being goals.
Nicole is an Occupational Therapist with over 15 years of industry experience, working primarily in the private sector. During this time, Nicole has worked in leadership roles, managing large teams to successfully deliver allied health services under a variety of federal government health initiatives including International Health and Medical Services, Better Start, Helping Children with Autism funding, and a range of others. More recently, Gateway Therapies has become a provider for the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).
In recent years Nicole completed her doctorate, which focused on helping parents of children newly diagnosed with autism to make intervention decisions. Through completion of this project, Nicole gained an extensive understanding of how parents make decisions about interventions, and what their information needs and preferences are. As part of her project, Nicole developed a Patient Decision Aid for parents of children with autism. Her knowledge of decision making processes and how best to support people at this crucial point in their healthcare journey, has been integral to Gateway Therapies’ success. Nicole’s passion for health literacy and patient education has grown over the years, and the referral network initiative has been borne from that passion.
Gateway Therapies has an active presence in the world of social media, and has a top-ranking website with great organic reach. We work with the best social media and content marketing experts in Brisbane to ensure that we will continue to be found in an increasingly competitive online environment.
